My name is Brianna and I’m a Tri-I MMPTP post-doctoral fellow in Christine Hawkes lab at North Carolina State University. I study plant microbial interactions and how these interactions impact plant performance and resilience to environmental changes.
My current work focuses on how fungal community priority and diversity impact wheat response to drought. This is especially important to understand as we know fungi have important roles in plant stress response and climatic events such as drought are expected to become more frequent and severe with climate change.

I'm excited to answer questions about how fungal communities/individual microbes interact with their environment and how this affects their interactions with their plant hosts.
